Draft a case study from one happy-customer call

Jun 30, 2026 · 20 min

The problem. You had a great call with a happy customer, they said something genuinely useful about why they switched to you — and it’s sitting in a transcript you’ll never look at again unless you turn it into something today.

The play. Feed Claude the actual call transcript or your notes from it, and have it draft a case study built entirely from what was actually said — never inventing a quote or a number the customer didn’t give you.

Setup (5 min). Get the transcript or your notes into one place. If you only have rough notes, that’s fine — just don’t let the workflow fill gaps with invented specifics.

The prompt:

Here's the transcript / my notes from a customer call: [paste it].

Draft a short case study:
1. The problem they had before us, in their words where possible
2. What made them try us
3. What's actually different now — use their real numbers or specifics if
they gave any; if they didn't give specifics, don't invent any
4. One direct quote, pulled verbatim from what they said

If anything in your draft isn't actually traceable to something they said,
flag it so I can either verify it with them or cut it.

What you get. A real, honest case study instead of a marketing-voiced fabrication — the “flag anything not traceable” instruction is what keeps this trustworthy enough to actually publish.

What to watch for.

Make it repeatable. Ask this question at the end of every customer call that goes well: “would you be open to a two-line case study?” Most say yes, and you’ll have a steady trickle of real proof instead of scrambling for testimonials when you need them.
