Ship a landing page with Claude Code without knowing how to code

The problem. You need a landing page live this week — for the launch, for the waitlist, for the thing you keep saying you’ll get to — and you’ve never written a line of code. Hiring it out costs time you don’t have; a page builder gets you something generic.

The play. Claude Code can build you a real, simple page from a plain description, editing actual files and showing you the result, while you review every change in plain English rather than reading code.

Setup (10 min). Open Claude Code (the Desktop app’s Code tab works fine — no terminal required) and create a new folder for the project. Have PRODUCT.md and VOICE.md in it if you’ve written them; if not, describe your product and voice in your first message instead.

The prompt:

I want a single landing page for [your product, in your own words]. Read
PRODUCT.md and VOICE.md in this folder if they exist.

Build a simple, clean one-page site:
- A headline and one-line subhead that states the actual value, no hype
- 2-3 sections explaining what it does and who it's for
- One clear call to action (an email signup or a link — tell me which)
- Mobile-friendly, fast-loading, no unnecessary dependencies

After each change, tell me in plain language what you did and show me how
to view it in a browser. Ask me before adding anything I didn't ask for.

What you get. A real, working page, built and edited in front of you with each change explained in plain language — not a black box, and not a template you’re fighting to customize.

What to watch for.

• You don’t need to read the code, but you should look at the actual page after every change, in a browser, not just trust the description of what changed.
• If a section reads like generic marketing copy, that’s your VOICE.md needing more real examples, not a reason to accept the draft as-is.
• Ask explicitly for it to explain changes in plain language, not code terms — a good Claude Code session should be readable by someone who’s never opened a terminal.
